Have you ever received an e-mail with the sent address of someone you know only to ﬁnd it is SPAM and you wonder why your friend is sending you SPAM? I have received e-mails to one of my own e-mail addresses from one of my other e-mail addresses and it was not sent by me.

This is a trick by Spammers to get you to open the e- mail in hopes that you think it is from a friend. Spammers will randomly use someone’s legitimate e-mail address as the “Sent From” e-mail address. Spammers don’t really want you to reply to an e-mail, they want you to go to a web site mentioned in the SPAM.

MYOB 2009

MYOB will be sending out the announcement for MYOB 2009 during the last two weeks in November and shipping the product to arrive in December. If you are using MYOB Network Edition, this upgrade is a must. AENE 2009 contains the second phase of network speed improvements which dramatically improves the speed of AENE over a network. The first phase was released in July at no charge.

Microsoft has released Ofﬁce 2007 for PC’s and Ofﬁce 2008 for Mac users utilizing a new ﬁle format which is not compatible with previous versions of Ofﬁce without ﬁrst processing the ﬁle through a free converter. The converter can be downloaded from

http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.mspx

The new format extension ends with an “X” example are: .xlsx, .docx and .pptx extensions. After converting a ﬁle remember to do a Save As to save in the converted format or you will have to convert the ﬁle again when opening it. If you are using Ofﬁce 2007 or Ofﬁce 2008 you can change the Preferences to always save ﬁles in the older format to avoid this issue when sending ﬁles to other users.
